Right now the world's largest search engines are being actively "bombarded" with the following questions: What is Windows Recovery? How to get rid of Windows Recovery? How do I remove Windows Recovery? This implies that users who are searching for the answers to all these questions have their computers which have this program Windows Recovery installed. So, is it a decent program or not? Should they keep it or not? The next paragraph will give you more detailed information about Windows Recovery.
Windows Recovery is a virus, a rogue application that pretends to be some good scanner of system registry. It states of itself to be able to defrag your system and increase your PC performance and speed. However, the truth of the matter is that Windows Recovery can not do all such things. It is a virus that is very devastating. Here is the brief list of bad things Windows Recovery virus does for your PC:
- Modifying system settings in order to get launched with every Windows startup. Users are not able to shut down the program window of Windows Recovery scam.
- Presenting annoying popups on the regular basis telling about all sorts of system errors.
- Implementation of all sorts of system and registry amendments resulting in files being not shown in some folders. Presenting fake error messages about HDD missing or corrupted.
- Forcing users to buy the full version of Windows Recovery program as a supposed remedy for fixing all errors.

What if you are unable to open up the web browser??
You can open web browser by safe mode with networking (turn computer off by power button and turn on again if needs be).
You wont have the constant popups in safe mode.
So far this has been very helpful!
I'm yet to restart though :-)
Watch the video!
What if I keep getting hard drive error alerts too. It says there's no hard disk space.....
The "hard drive errors" are a lie, I got 2 comps in my workplace rid of this program. Unfortunately I do not know if it has corrupted my server. I got rid of it with malware bytes and entered a code into the "help and support section" which disabled it on one computer , the other computer needed serious virus removal and I manually deleted it though the regedit. not sure if its completely gone but I backed up my important files while I had them visible with unhide software.
omfg, im just 13. i did all of this and i have to freaking purchase this shit. it took me hours to find a website to remove that virus for free, and now that i THOUGHT i found one that does it for free, it isnt. bull shit. fucking bull shit.
God help us all...

Dear one,
You have turned out to be just 13 as you say. You are very young but already use such a filthy language. It is sinful, by the way. I recommend you to stay away of such bad words. I will try to indicate in all my posts that GridinSoft Trojan Killer is not a free program. However, it is indeed very effective.
hmmm so i have to buy it if i wanna get tird of the virus huh
"And, of course, do not pay any money for it." Very misleading post here. Thanks for the information but directing people to software like this is pretty low. All the effort to get it installed, scan, and everything to find out in the end you have to pay for it.
The instruction was not to pay money for Windows Recovery virus (cause this is what it will tell you to do). The purpose of this blog is to let people know that that there is a solution to removal of this virus. And I show how to do it in my videos. I am doing them quite clear, don't I? As for now GridinSoft Trojan Killer is not a free program. Somebody has to do the job of developing the decent program which can deal with viruses like Windows Recovery, etc. The one who works hard deserves to be paid. Besides, I do not develop GridinSoft Trojan Killer. My goal is to show HOW to remove viruses using the program recommended by me.
If you go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-windows-recovery You will be able to follow the directions and remove it for FREE using rkill and malwarebytes. Once you go through all these steps to remove the malware off your computer uninstall malwarebytes and google AVG Anti-virus. It's free and works GREAT!! Hope that helps...
i use microsoft security essential and work great. symantec let the worm come.
anyway.....thanks for the solution.
I recommend Malwarebytes. First, I ran MSCONFIG and disabled the threats under services and startup, then used Malwarebytes to do the rest. Worked perfectly. If you still have hidden files, use unhide.exe, found here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-windows-recovery
